Feeling like it’s time for a little Team Avery Update post.

Since heading out to Vancouver after the end of school it has been a pretty busy couple of months for both of us.

I (Tracy) have for sure been on the road a lot.  A few weeks after getting home from Vancouver, I headed over to Cranbrook B.C., for my friend Kari’s wedding shower hosted by her mom and MOH.  A couple of weekends after that I drove out to Merritt B.C., to celebrate my best friends 3 months until she’s 30 birthday party. Our wedding is on her actual birthday so we wanted to celebrate it properly, and spent the weekend at a friend’s cabin near Glimpse Lake.  It was a beautiful weekend of weather, hanging out by the lake, getting in my first paddle of the season and of course a little bit of drinking shenanigans.

The next weekend was the long haul, my mom and sister flew out to visit and attend my university graduation. We snuck in a trip down to Waterton to do our wedding food tasting and show them around. The Friday of my graduation included me officially getting my degree and walking across the stage.  After dinner, I drove them back to the airport and continued on driving to Shuswap lake.

My friend Kari was having her bachelorette party on a houseboat and there was no way I was missing that party.

All of that was completed between May and the first weekend in June.  My poor car gained a few KM’s that month. The next couple of weeks was work and working away on our mile-long wedding projects list.  I increased the travel again at the end of June when I flew out to Vancouver to take part in my other friend Jenn’s bachelorette party. Apparently, everyone is getting married this summer.  I also took the time to catch up with the family and the littles ones at home. We are now getting into the first week of July with more travel and adventures on the way.

Rod during all this time, was looking after the dog and the house while I was off driving around BC and Alberta.  During this time, Rod also decided he wanted to take some time for himself before his world completely changes in September.  Not only is he gaining a new wife, he will also be adopting a new city, new home, new friends and when he gets one, a new job.  So, Rod has left the college and we are now both funemployed for the next two months.  It was a decision that we both made, to enjoy some time together, make sure everything is ready for the wedding and just enjoy this province that we will soon be leaving.

I say this every time, I’m always so sorry when blog posts are few and far between.  I feel that I try and write when we have exciting things to talk about and share with you. Some days I look at other blogs and think, man I wish I knew how to take better advantage of this and make something out of it.  But really, we are not looking to get instafamous or anything like that.  I hope it’s just a place that people like to come and check in about how our adventures are shaping up.

Next on the list is our weekend in Kelowna.  That was a more Team Avery group effort then my last few adventures so I think it deserves it’s own post.
