Welcome to the Team Avery Adventures Travel/RoadTrips/Backpacking/All the things we may choose to do together blog.

For most of the population that will read this, I thank you friends and family for reading about our adventures as we enjoy our life together.  Rod and I have enjoyed a wonderful three years of adventures, and it just felt right to start making note of them now and to share them with all of you.

My high hopes for this blog, is that we will be able to share our experiences with our friends and family back home while we are away and when the easy (free) contact we once had may not be an option, still keep everyone updated on our whereabouts so no worry needs to be involved.

For the rest of the population that may stumble upon our little travel/adventures blog, I welcome you! Here is hoping you enjoy our stories, opinions and experiences and with help from Rod a few photos here and there.

Where this all began…

Rod and I(Tracy) met three years ago. I came out to visit a friend in Lethbridge, we met that first night and after 4 days, I flew home to Vancouver to only continue to talk to Rod every day for a few months.  It took one trip back to Lethbridge, and a trip to Vancouver for Rod for me to fall in love and decided to change my life and move myself and my 4 month old puppy Avery out to Lethbridge to be with Rod. That was three years ago, we have lived together ever since.  We have enjoyed many trips together down to Mexico, Toronto, back home to Vancouver, and plenty of time spent together in the mountains.  We spent the majority of last summer, hiking and camping in the mountains and the rest of the time enjoying the beauty of Waterton Lake National Park.

Something else to note about Rod and myself, we have joined in with the local Crossfit Lethbridge Community and have fallen in love with working out in this manner.  This is a large reason for this blog, and our upcoming adventure.  Every year, the worldwide crossfit community comes together for the Crossfit Games, which are held in Carson, California.  Rod and I have decided to make the trip down the coast to go and watch the games this year.  We felt it was a great way to see the Pacific Northwest and head towards the hot sunny california weather, and really break in my new car. ( I recently purchased a new Mazda CX-5, which I am in love with and can not wait to roadtrip in.)

So that is us in a nutshell, add in our border collie Avery (thus where our Team Avery name comes from) and that is our life.  We live pretty normal lives in the off season, full time nerd and social media guru for Rod on the Monday to Friday schedule, and I live in the mature student/server life.  We take our weekends and time together to live life and enjoy what we have.

I would like to Thank everyone for coming to checkout our blog over the course of this adventure and the rest to follow.  Writing has never been my strong suit, but I hope that this will be enjoyable for all to read.

Until Next Time…..

– Tracy
