We have officially arrived home! It was a long 33 days of travel, adventure, experiences and excitement. Following the games, we made the straight drive back from California in two days, a nice 10 hour stretch each day with a stop in Medford for the night. We spent a few days in Vancouver, getting back to our Doge who missed us dearly, cleaning up and getting ready for what else ….. More camping.
We headed out to Hope with my sister’s family, and some family friends for the long weekend, to get in one last camping trip. We drove up Friday, set up camp and enjoyed some cooling down in the pool. Saturday the crew headed to Hell’s Gate, enjoyed some more pool time and relaxing around camp.
Sunday Rod and I packed up the car in the morning, and then we all headed out to check out the Othello Tunnels. The little ones enjoyed their glowsticks and flashlights that led them through the dark tunnels. Rod and I then headed home from there, it was another nice 10 1/2 hour drive with stops for gas, and exercise for the dog.
We were very thankful to return home. The long awaited time getting back to our own bed, and the regular routine of our life in Lethbridge. It was a great holiday away, an experience that we are so grateful we were able to take. We know that not everyone has the ability to just take a month away from work and life, drive away and be okay. Rod and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to make new memories, create some cool stories, pictures and see the coast!
I can’t wait until our next adventure, but for now we will be laying low and just getting back to real life. We will continue to keep up the blog when our next experience and adventure comes to us. I wanted to Thank everyone for taking the time to follow us on here as we travelled down the coast. We appreciated all the comments and thoughts, and I absolutely loved hearing that people have been reading and enjoying the blog that we have shared.
More pictures will soon be added to a Facebook gallery once we get all the photos organized!
Thanks again for reading, stay tuned.
Until Next Time!
